Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for main performance parameters such as power and heat consumption rate (thermal efficiency) of gas turbine power generation devices. Its purpose is to determine the correction of the test results for the thermal performance level of the gas turbine under test conditions. This standard applies to gas turbine tests that burn gaseous or liquid fuels (or convert solid fuels to gaseous or liquid fuels before entering the gas turbine). Includes testing of gas turbines with emission control and/or power augmentation equipment such as fluid injection and intake air treatment. It can be applied to gas turbines in combined cycle plants or with gas heat recovery systems. This standard does not apply to gas turbines under development.
