Scope

This part of GB/T 29168 is applicable to neck welding flanges and blind flanges (full face, raised face and ring joint face) of piping systems designed in accordance with GB/T 24259, as well as anchor flanges, slip flanges and orifice plates Flanges can also be used as a reference for flanges used in piping systems designed in accordance with other specifications. This part specifies carbon steel and low alloy steel forged flanges for pipeline systems in the oil and gas industry. This part specifies the types of flanges used in conjunction with ISO 3183 steel pipes for oil and gas industry systems. This type of flange is suitable for ordinary and low-temperature service environments, and supplementary requirements are made for flanges used in acid service environments. This section does not cover materials such as fittings, shop welds, bolts, gaskets, slip-on flanges, or flanged fittings. This standard does not apply to integral cast or forged flanges for valves, pumps or other equipment. This section does not include the choice of flange type or pressure class (Class). The flange sizes and pressure ratings listed in ISO 7005-1 and applicable to this part are as follows: --DN 10 (NPS 1/2) to DN 1500 (NPS 60); --PN 20 (Class 150) , PN 50 (Class 300), PN 100 (Class 600), PN 150 (Class 900), PN 250 (Class 1500), PN 420 (Class 2500).
