Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, quality assessment procedures, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of thermal and thermal transfer barcode printers (hereinafter referred to as barcode printers). This standard applies to the design and manufacture of thermal and thermal transfer barcode printers. This standard is the basis for formulating product standards.
