Introduction

Analysis of Standard Technology Evolution

This standard integrates and replaces the GB/T29463.1~3-2012 series of standards. The main technical upgrades include:

  • Two new product types: metal corrugated composite gaskets and metal toothed combination gaskets
  • Nominal diameter range expanded from DN2000 to DN2600
  • Added special size series of outer head flange of floating head heat exchanger (+150/200/250mm)

Key Manufacturing Requirements

Material Control

  • Metal Materials: 6 types of stainless steel including 06Cr19Ni10, with hardness lower than 30HBW of flange sealing surface
  • Flexible Graphite: Chlorine content ≤50μg/g, sulfur content ≤800μg/g
  • Splicing Requirements: DN≥800 non-metallic gaskets are allowed to overlap at 45° bevel, with a maximum of 4 splicings

Process Control

  1. The filling tape of the wound gasket needs to be 0.2mm higher than the metal tape
  2. The flatness deviation of the tooth tip of the corrugated composite gasket is ≤0.8mm/20° arc
  3. The roughness of the sealing surface of all gaskets is Ra≤3.2μm

Typical application cases

Liquefied natural gas unit: The metal corrugated composite gasket WSF13-900-1.6-6BC was selected to maintain the sealing performance under -162℃ working conditions and passed the NB/T47013.5 penetration test level I acceptance.

Petrochemical hydrogenation reactor: The metal toothed composite gasket GMF53-800-4.0-4BNC was used, and it ran for 8000 hours without leakage under 420℃/6.4MPa conditions.
