GB/T 2951标准规定了配电用电缆和通信电缆，包括船用电缆的聚合物绝缘和护套材料的试验方法。GB/T 2951.3规定了密度测定方法、吸水试验方法和收缩试验方法。适用于电线、电缆最常用的绝缘和护套材料（弹性体、聚氯乙烯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯等）
