Introduction
GB/T 30200-2023 Standard Overview
GB/T 30200-2023 "Energy Consumption Test Method for Rubber and Plastic Injection Molding Machines" replaces the old version of GB/T30200-2013 and comprehensively updates the energy consumption test of injection molding machines. The new standard focuses on adding energy consumption measurement in standby mode, energy consumption determination methods related to products, and optimizes the evaluation system.
Main updates
| Old version requirements | New version requirements |
|---|---|
| Definition of standby power is not clarified | Terms and definitions of “standby state” and “standby power” are added |
| Only the detection scope is specified | The detection scope is refined and it is clarified that the energy consumption of auxiliary equipment is not included |
| Product-related energy consumption is not involved | Energy consumption determination methods related to products are added (see Appendix B) |
Explanation of key terms
Total electric energy consumption Specific energy consumption: refers to the energy consumption of the whole machine corresponding to the active power measured by the standard method, in kilowatt-hours (kW·h). For example, in a rubber injection molding machine, the energy consumption of the whole machine includes the energy consumption of opening, closing, plasticizing and other actions. Specific energy consumption: refers to the energy consumption of the whole machine per unit injection mass of the injection molding machine, in kilowatt-hours per kilogram (kW·h/kg). The calculation formula is: Specific energy consumption = whole machine energy consumption / injection mass.
Testing methods and implementation recommendations
In actual applications, it is recommended that manufacturers:
- Strictly select test materials and test parameters in accordance with standard requirements
- Use high-precision electric power analyzers for measurement
- Establish an energy consumption monitoring system and calibrate equipment regularly
- Refer to the energy consumption grade table in Appendix C to optimize equipment energy efficiency
