Scope
This standard establishes -- the requirements for implementing biometric sample comparison and return decision-making in the integrated circuit card (ICC); -- the security policy for biometric comparison in the card. This standard also establishes commands and rules that allow off-card pre-comparison calculations. This standard does not establish ---requirements for the realization of off-card comparison; --requirements for the realization of on-card systems; --requirements for the specified form of storage and comparison.
