Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements for the design and manufacture of tire curing presses (hereinafter referred to as "curing presses") and provides instructions for their safe use. This document applies to both mechanical and hydraulic curing presses used to cure tire casings. This document addresses all significant hazards associated with the curing press (see Appendix A) arising throughout its lifecycle (see 5.4 of GB/T 15706-2012), during its intended use, and in cases of misuse that are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer. This document does not address: feeding and unloading systems; curing presses for manual tire loading and unloading; associated auxiliary equipment (such as conveying equipment); exhaust systems; or hazards arising from the falling of mold sleeves or mold parts.
