Background of standard formulation and analysis of technological evolution

The determination of the stiffness of the flexure part of footwear is an important indicator for evaluating the comfort and durability of shoes. With the development of shoemaking technology, consumers' demand for footwear products has become increasingly diversified, and traditional test methods can no longer meet the technical requirements of modern footwear.

Instruments and test steps

In the new standard, different instruments are used for the two test methods:

  • Flexure test machine: used for the bending moment test of method A, the flexure stiffness is evaluated by measuring the rotation angle and the required torque.
  • Impact loading system: used for the bending stiffness test of method B, which calculates the bending stiffness by simulating the relationship between force and displacement under actual bending state.

Implementation suggestions

To ensure the effective implementation of the standard:

  1. Prepare and test samples in strict accordance with the test environment requirements to ensure data accuracy.
  2. It is recommended that manufacturers be equipped with special testing equipment and provide professional training for operators.
  3. In the quality control link, method B should be used first because it can better simulate the performance of footwear under real wearing conditions.
