1. Standard Scope and Classification

This standard applies to the manufacture, circulation, use and supervision inspection of steel drums, covering three levels: Class I, Class II and Class III, which are respectively applicable to goods with high risk, goods with medium risk and non-risk.

According to the opening type, it is divided into closed steel drums and open steel drums to ensure safety and applicability in different scenarios.

2. Material requirements

• Steel plates for steel drums must comply with GB/T2518, GB/T3274, YB/T055 and other standards to ensure material strength and durability.
• The crimping seal packing should be made of heat-resistant, weather-resistant and solvent-resistant materials.
• The closure system must comply with the provisions of GB/T 13251 to ensure sealing performance.
• The internal and external surface coatings should have good adhesion and weather resistance, especially the products that directly contact food must comply with food safety standards.
