1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and the requirements for packaging, marking, storage and transportation of daily protective mask.

This standard is applicable to protective mask worn in daily life for filtering the particulate matter in air pollution environment.

This standard is neither applicable to respiratory protective equipment for anoxic environment, underwater operation, escape, fire protection, medical purposes, industrial dust prevention and other special fields, nor applicable to respiratory protective equipment for infants and children

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

particulate matter (PM2.5)
particulate matter with the aerodynamic equivalent diameter less than or equal to 2.5 μm in environmental air, also referred to as fine particulate matter

filter efficiency
capacity of mask body in separating particulate matter under specified conditions, expressed in percentage
