Background of Standard Evolution
This standard was formerly known as GB 9883-1988, which was issued in 1988. After two industry standard revisions in 1999 (HG/T 3083) and 2009, it was upgraded to a national standard in 2016. The key points of the revision include:

- Improved the definition system of functional rubber shoes (such as anti-static and electrical insulation)
