Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the content of lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium, selenium, antimony, barium and arsenic in thermoplastic elastomers and their products by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium, selenium, antimony, barium and arsenic in thermoplastic elastomers and their products, but not suitable for the determination of chromium added to thermoplastic elastomers in the form of chromium trioxide.
