Introduction

Interpretation of the National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 33540.1-2017

Standard Overview

GB/T 33540.1-2017 specifies the product varieties and markings, requirements and test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, transportation and storage of special greases for wind turbine bearings. It is suitable for lubrication of inland and coastal wind turbine bearings, and the applicable temperature range is $-40~^{\circ}\mathrm{C} \sim 140~^\circ\mathrm{C}$.

Comparison of technical requirements and test methods

Project Main shaft yaw and pitch bearing grease Generator bearing grease
Cone penetration (working cone penetration) 290~320 (0.1mm) 265~295 (0.1mm)
Dropping point $\geq 250^\circ\mathrm{C}$ $\geq 260^\circ\mathrm{C}$
Anti-wear performance Wear scar diameter $\leq 0.6$ mm Wear scar diameter $\leq 0.5$ mm

Background of standard formulation and analysis of technological evolution

With the expansion of wind turbine scale and the diversification of operating environment, the requirements for bearing grease are becoming increasingly stringent. This standard combines advanced technologies at home and abroad to clarify the performance indicators of grease under extreme conditions such as high temperature, low temperature and high load to ensure the long-term stable operation of wind turbines.

Implementation suggestions

1. Selection guide

  • Select the appropriate grease type according to the working environment of the wind turbine.
  • Consider the temperature range, load conditions and operating cycle to ensure that the grease performance meets the requirements.

2. Quality Control

  • Strictly follow the inspection rules specified in the standards and conduct regular quality inspections.
  • Focus on checking key indicators such as cone penetration, dropping point and anti-wear performance.

3. Maintenance

  • Regularly replace grease to ensure that the bearings are fully lubricated.
  • Use special tools to detect the grease status and handle abnormal situations in a timely manner.
