GB/T 33704-2017 specifies the technical requirements and test methods of the standard pyranometer, which mainly includes the following core elements:

Detailed explanation of key technical requirements

1. Product composition

Standard pyranometer consists of four parts: sensing device, quartz ball cover, signal output terminal and structural components:

  • Sensing device: The sensing surface adopts matte black coating to ensure 300-3000nm spectrum absorption
  • Quartz ball cover: Double-layer hemispherical structure, the transmittance must meet the 50% threshold requirement
  • Protection design: IP67 protection level, can withstand -10℃~40℃ ambient temperature

2. Measurement performance

Typical case: A certain type of pyranometer has a 1.2% nonlinear error at the 750W/m2 test point. After correction by formula (6), the error is within 0.8%, which meets the standard requirements.


Implementation suggestions

Calibration cycle management

The standard stipulates that the calibration cycle is 2 years. It is recommended that:

  1. Establish an instrument sensitivity change trend file
  2. Add intermediate inspection after abnormal climatic conditions
  3. Use the cover/uncover method in Appendix D for on-site calibration

Environmental adaptability selection

According to the requirements of Appendix A, the following tests must be conducted:

  • Climatic conditions: -10℃ low temperature to 40℃ high temperature cycle
  • Mechanical conditions: 2-200Hz sinusoidal vibration
