Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for intranet of broadband customer networks based on power lines, including system architecture, physical layer, MAC layer, convergence layer, central controller, networking, management messages and service access points. This standard applies to intranet of broadband customer networks over power lines using HomePlugAV technology. Intranet of broadband customer networks over power lines using other technologies and intranet of broadband customer networks with multiple power lines coexisting are not within the scope of this standard.
