Introduction

Overview of Industrial Internet of Things Instrument Interoperability Protocol

With the development of industrial information network technology, the interoperability of industrial Internet of Things instruments has become the key to achieving seamless integration of office automation and industrial automation. This standard GB/T 33899-2017 specifies the interoperability message format and workflow of industrial Internet of Things instruments, which is applicable to the management and application of instrument interoperability.

Standard formulation background and technology evolution analysis

The traditional concept of interoperability mainly focuses on the data exchange capability between different platforms or programming languages. However, in the industrial Internet of Things environment, the interoperability of industrial automation instruments has higher requirements: not only must it support data interaction of heterogeneous protocols, but it must also ensure transparent use of resources and efficient collaboration.

Description of the collaborative workflow of the four protocols of industrial Internet of Things instruments

Protocol name Main function Reference standard
Identity identification protocol Determine the uniqueness of the instrument GB/T 33901
Application attribute protocol Describe static and dynamic attributes -
Service protocol Standardize service architecture GB/T 33904

Interoperability Message Format and Workflow Analysis

The total length of the Industrial Internet of Things instrument interoperability message is 89+X bytes, and its encoding structure includes:

Number Meaning Length (byte)
1 Identity 24 bytes (see GB/T 33901)
2 Interoperability Message 65+X bytes

The message format consists of five parts: message priority, source device address, destination device address, time, and message content. The variable-length X field determines the flexibility of the message content. The higher the priority, the higher the priority of the system processing.

Interoperability workflow diagram analysis

When the source device sends a request to the destination device, information exchange and processing must be carried out through the interoperability platform. After the request is valid, an XML file is generated and sent to the target device to perform specific operations. This process ensures efficient collaboration between instruments from different suppliers.

Implementation recommendations

  1. Hardware selection: When selecting industrial IoT instruments, give priority to products that support multiple protocols and interoperability functions.
  2. Message testing: Use the message format specified by the standard for testing to ensure information compatibility between different devices.
  3. System Integration: Coordinate the planning of network architecture and data processing flow to reduce potential conflicts and errors.
  4. Continuous Optimization: Adjust interoperability parameters according to actual operation conditions to improve overall system efficiency.
