Introduction

1. Standard Overview and Scope of Application

GB/T 33969—2017 Technical Specification for Oxygen-Enriched Coal Injection in Blast Furnaces is an industry standard proposed by the China Iron and Steel Association. It is mainly applicable to the design, operation, management and equipment maintenance of oxygen-enriched coal injection technology in blast furnaces of newly built, rebuilt and expanded steel enterprises.

Technical Requirements Detailed provisions on the quality of pulverized coal injection, oxygen production methods and equipment maintenance requirements. In line with international standards, some indicators are more stringent.
Environmental protection requirements Dust emission concentration ≤25 mg/m³, dust concentration at work ≤8.0 mg/m³. EU standard: Dust emission concentration ≤10 mg/m³.
Safety requirements Emphasis on equipment safety maintenance and oxygen delivery control to ensure operational safety. Focus on nitrogen inerting system and emergency response mechanism.

3. Implementation suggestions

Optimize the combination of injection coal:According to the scale of the blast furnace and the conditions of raw materials and fuels, select coal with high cost performance for mixing and matching to ensure that the combustibility and volatile matter meet the safety range.

Improve equipment maintenance: Regularly check the pulverizing system, coal transportation network and valves to keep the equipment clean and running efficiently. Focus on monitoring the temperature fluctuation of the coal mill inlet and the efficiency of the bag filter.

Strengthen safety management: Strictly follow the requirements of GB16543 to control the oxygen delivery purity and oxygen enrichment rate range. Establish an emergency response mechanism and equip professional fire-fighting facilities.
