Standard Overview and Scope of Application
This standard specifies cross-axis universal couplings with a swing diameter of 490mm~1320mm and a nominal torque of 800~16000kN·m, which are suitable for the connection between the rollers and the transmission shaft system of the hot strip mill. Torque transmission is achieved through the face gear flange, and the axis angle range is 5°~10°.

- Material: alloy steel forgings, Rm≥1200MPa

- Detection: ultrasonic and magnetic particle inspection according to JB/T5000.15 level I

- Outer ring material: alloy steel forging, surface hardness 58-62HRC

Main points for installation and commissioning
- Ensure that the centers of the two universal joint forks are coplanar (deviation ≤0.5°)
- Axial clearance is controlled at 0.1-0.15mm
- The spline part is lubricated with No. 2 industrial lithium-based grease
