Introduction

Interpretation of the National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 34249—2017

1. Background of Standard Formulation and Analysis of Technology Evolution

Polyamines, a water treatment agent, are important chemicals for industrial water, sewage and wastewater treatment. The formulation of GB/T 34249—2017 aims to standardize the quality requirements, test methods and application standards of polyamine products to ensure their safety and effectiveness in the field of water treatment.

With the improvement of environmental protection requirements and the development of water treatment technology, polyamines, as high-efficiency flocculants, have been widely used in municipal water supply, industrial wastewater treatment and other fields. This standard combines the development trends of domestic and foreign technologies to systematically define the technical indicators of polyamines and provide a unified quality assessment system for the industry.

2. Comparison of standard frameworks

Standard dimensions GB/T 34249—2017 International alignment Comparative analysis
Technical requirements Indicators such as solid content, rotational viscosity, and charge density are clear. In line with relevant ISO standards, some indicators are more stringent. Domestic standards are more stringent in impurity control.
Test methods Including solid content determination, rotational viscosity test, etc. Using internationally common analytical methods. Some methods have been optimized and improved, such as gas chromatography for impurity detection.
Quality control Supervise the entire process from raw materials to finished products. Comply with international chemical management requirements. The first batch inspection mechanism was introduced in China.

3. Technical requirements and test methods for polyamines

Technical indicators:

  • Solid content: 20.0% (first-class product)
  • Rotational viscosity: 25.0 mPa·s (25°C)
  • Charge density: 6.5 mmol/g

Test method:

Solid content determination:

Adopt drying method, accurately control temperature and time.

Rotational viscosity test:

Use rotational viscometer, measured at constant temperature.

Charge density analysis:

Based on polyvinyl alcohol potassium sulfate titration method, with indigo indicator.
