Introduction
Standard Framework and Technology Evolution
As the second part of the GB/T 34308 series of standards, this document builds a complete sports competition coding system, using the juxtaposition coding method to achieve the standardized expression of 11 digits. This standard inherits the 2002 version of "Sports Classification and Code", expands it in combination with the needs of sports informatization in the new era, and adds codes for emerging projects such as ice and snow sports and e-sports.
Core Coding Structure Analysis
| Code Segment | Digits | Example | Coding Rules |
|---|---|---|---|
| Competitor Region | 1 | 1(World) | See Table 2 Regional Classification |
| Event Season | 1 | 2(Summer) | See Table 3 Season Classification |
| Competitor Age | 1 | 1(Youth) | See Table 4 Age Classification |
| Sports | 6 | 047200(Women's Basketball) | Appendix B Project Codes |
| Event Name | 2 | 52(Championship) | 01-50 Comprehensive/51-99 Individual |
Comparison of Key Classification Dimensions
1. Distinguishing Event Types
Comprehensive events (codes 01-50) such as the Olympic Games (01) and the National Games (02) and Individual events (codes 51-99) such as championships (52) and leagues (53) use differentiated coding:
- National Games Coding Example: 302010102 (National + Spring + Adult + Comprehensive Events + Games)
- CBA League Coding Example: 35104720053 (National + Other Seasons + Adult + Basketball + League)
2. Sports Event Level
The 6-digit event code adopts a three-level classification:
- First 2 digits: major event (such as 02 short track speed skating)
- Middle 2 digits: sub-event (02 men/03 women)
- Last 2 digits: minor event (01 500m)
Implementation and Application Suggestions
Data System Connection Solution
The following data structure is recommended to achieve standard compatibility:
{ "event_code": "12200110101", "region": "World", "season": "Summer", "age_group": "Adult", "sport": "Speed Skating", "event_type": "Olympic Games" } Typical application scenarios
- Event management system: realize cross-system data exchange through code
- Sports big data analysis: multi-dimensional statistics based on coding dimensions
- Broadcast information system: standardize event logos to improve information consistency
Standard expansion direction
With the development of emerging projects such as e-sports, it is recommended to:
- Establish a dynamic supplement mechanism and update Appendix B every two years
- Add online event attribute dimensions (such as virtual/reality)
- Develop supporting API verification services
