Introduction

GBT 34725-2017 Standard Overview

GB/T 34725-2017 "Test Method for Concentrated Load and Impact Load Performance of Structural Wood-Based Panels" is an important standard in China's construction field, which aims to evaluate the performance of structural wood-based panels when subjected to concentrated loads and impact loads. This standard was proposed by the State Forestry Administration and is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Timber Standardization. It is applicable to the testing of structural panels such as floor panels and roof panels in buildings.

Background of Standard Formulation

With the development of my country's construction industry, structural wood-based panels are increasingly used in modern buildings. However, the performance evaluation system of wood-based panels has not yet been perfected, especially the lack of unified standards for test methods in terms of load bearing. The introduction of GB/T 34725-2017 fills this gap and provides a scientific basis for the safety evaluation of building components.

Technology Evolution Analysis

The technical content of this standard reflects the progress of wood-based panel manufacturing technology and testing methods in recent years. The design of the concentrated load and impact load test methods takes into account the actual building application scenarios to ensure that the test results can accurately reflect the performance of the product under normal use conditions.

Test items Technical requirements Scope of application
Concentrated load test - Use 76mm or 25mm diameter steel disc for loading- Loading speed 5mm/min - Record the specimen deflection at 890N Floor and roof panels
Impact load test - The mass of the impact bag is determined according to the span- The drop height is gradually increased- Record the ultimate impact load Safety assessment of building structural components

Implementation suggestions

Case Study: A construction project uses structural artificial boards as floor panels and needs to be tested in accordance with GB/T 34725-2017. First, select representative specimens to ensure that their density and thickness meet the standard requirements. Then conduct concentrated load tests under dry and wet conditions and record deflection data. Finally, verify the impact resistance of the components through impact load tests.
