Introduction
1. Background and significance of the standard
GB/T 34923 Streetlight Control and Management System is my country's first national standard for intelligent management of streetlights, which is divided into six parts. This standard aims to standardize the structure, functions and performance indicators of the streetlight control and management system, and is applicable to the design, use and acceptance of road lighting control systems.
2. System structure and composition
According to Figure 1, the streetlight control and management system consists of the following components:
- Master Station: System management and control center.
- Management Terminal: Equipment installed in the lighting distribution cabinet.
- Roadlight Controller: Responsible for the switch and brightness adjustment of streetlights.
| Components | Functional Description | Related Standards |
|---|---|---|
| Master Station | Manage and control the entire system, handle data transmission and application. | GB/T 34923.2—2017 |
| Management Terminal | Collect information, monitor status and execute control strategy. | GB/T 34923.3—2017 |
| Street Light Controller | Control the switch and brightness of street lights, and monitor the operating status. | GB/T 34923.4—2017 |
3. Functional requirements and extensions
The street light control and management system should have the following core functions:
- Control function: switch street lights on and off as needed, adjust brightness and save energy.
- Information collection function: collect and report street light operation data in real time.
- Management function: support data storage, fault monitoring and remote monitoring.
4. System performance indicators
System performance indicators are the key to measuring the quality of street light control and management systems. The following is a comparison of key indicators:
| Components | Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) | Response Time Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Management Terminal | ≥20,000 hours | - |
| Street Light Controller | ≥20,000 hours | - |
5. Implementation Suggestions
To ensure the efficient operation of the street light control and management system, the following implementation suggestions are proposed:
- Safety: Follow GB/T 34923.5—2017, ensuring network security and data protection.
- Communication protocol: Adopt standard protocol in accordance with GB/T 34923.6—2017.
- Extended functions: Optional advanced functions such as cable anti-theft and leakage detection can enhance the value of the system.
6. Analysis of technological evolution
The street light control and management system has evolved from traditional manual management to intelligent automatic control. With the development of the Internet of Things and big data technology, the future street light control system will be more intelligent, supporting real-time data analysis, adaptive adjustment and predictive maintenance.
