This standard specifies the technical requirements for the full life cycle of composite insulators for DC overhead lines, with the focus on:

  • Material properties: Stress corrosion threshold of epoxy resin impregnated glass fiber core rod ≥60% of ultimate strength
  • Structural design: Minimum thickness tolerance of umbrella cover ±1.0mm, negative deviation of creepage distance is zero
  • Environmental adaptability: Mechanical stability verification under temperature cycle of -35℃~+50℃
