Introduction

1. Background and significance of the standard

GB/T 35739-2017 "Continuous vertical conveyor for piece goods in logistics warehousing and distribution centers" was issued in 2017. It mainly regulates the terminology, type, basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of continuous vertical conveyors for piece goods used in logistics warehousing and distribution centers. The standard was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation and is managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Logistics and Warehousing Equipment.

3. Key technical requirements

3.1 Conveyor structure and parameters

According to the standard, the basic parameters of the conveyor include conveying speed and carrying device width. Table 1 and Table 2 list the preferred numerical ranges respectively.

Case study: Selection of vertical conveyor in a logistics center

In a large logistics center, in order to improve storage efficiency, an E-type vertical conveyor was selected. Its conveying speed is set to 60 m/min and the carrying device width is 1020 mm. By matching the parameter range specified in the standard with actual needs, the efficient operation of the equipment is ensured.

3.2 Safety requirements and protective measures

Safety is an important aspect of vertical conveyor design and operation. According to Section 5.6, all conveyors must be equipped with safety warning signs, protective devices (such as over-limit detection, drop detection) and a reliable grounding system. In addition, the insulation resistance of electrical equipment shall not be greater than 1 MΩ.

4. Test methods and inspection rules

4.1 Key test items

  • Noise measurement: When running without load, the noise shall not exceed 75 dB(A).
  • Coating adhesion: The paint film adhesion must meet the Level 2 standard specified in GB/T9286-1998.
  • Installation inspection of the whole machine: Including the measurement of the verticality of the column, the diagonal deviation of the frame and the horizontality of the beam.

4.2 Type inspection and factory inspection

Type inspection is carried out when there are major changes in product structure or materials, while factory inspection is a necessary step for each equipment. Table 6 lists the inspection items and the corresponding technical requirements and test methods in detail.


5. Implementation suggestions

5.1 Equipment selection and configuration

When selecting a vertical conveyor, the type and parameters of the equipment should be determined according to the specific needs of the logistics center. For example, the Z type is suitable for simple layouts, the C type is suitable for complex paths, and the E type is suitable for multi-layer transfer.

5.2 Installation and commissioning

During the installation process, the verticality, horizontality and diagonal deviation requirements specified in the standard must be strictly observed. During the commissioning phase, the conveying speed, load capacity and reliability of the safety protection device should be checked.

5.3 Daily Maintenance and Care

Regularly check the tension of the chain, the lubrication of the transmission components, and the insulation performance of the electrical system. It is recommended to perform comprehensive maintenance once a quarter to ensure long-term and efficient operation of the equipment.
