3. Standard interpretation and practical application
Term analysis:
- Thermal resistance: The ratio of the temperature difference on both sides of the material to the heat flow per unit area, reflecting the thermal insulation performance of the material.
- Heat transfer coefficient: When there is a 1K temperature difference on both sides of the material, the heat per unit area is quantified to quantify the thermal conductivity of the material.
- Clo value: The unit of thermal insulation performance of clothing perceived by the human body in a sitting state at 21°C.
Test principle:
By covering the sample on the hot plate assembly, using electric heating control to maintain a constant temperature, measuring the change in heat flow power to calculate thermal resistance, heat transfer coefficient and clo value. This method is suitable for thermal performance evaluation of various textiles and their products.
