GB/T 35996-2018 Rapid determination of eight elements in phosphate rock and phosphate concentrate by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry is an important standard in China for the chemical composition analysis of phosphate resources, aiming to improve detection efficiency and accuracy. This method is based on X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), combined with fusion sample preparation and quantitative analysis, to achieve rapid determination of eight elements in phosphate rock, including phosphorus, magnesium, iron, aluminum, silicon, calcium, potassium and sodium.
Instrument and reagent requirements
According to standard 5.1, it is recommended to use a wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (with an end-window rhodium target X-ray tube) that meets the verification requirements of JY/T016, with a power ≥3kW. The flux used in the experiment includes a mixed solvent of lithium tetraborate and lithium metaborate, and phosphate standard substances are required for calibration.
Implementation suggestions
- The laboratory should be equipped with experienced technicians to ensure that operations comply with safety regulations.
- It is recommended to calibrate the instrument regularly and use certified standard substances to verify the accuracy of the analysis results.
- For complex samples (such as samples with high silicon or high iron content), attention should be paid to the correction of interference effects between elements.
