《GB/T 36094-2018信息技术 生物特征识别 嵌入式BioAPI》由TC28(全国信息技术标准化技术委员会)归口,TC28SC37(全国信息技术标准化技术委员会生物特征识别分会)执行,主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。

Scope

This standard provides a standard interface for hardware biometric identification modules designed to be integrated into embedded systems with limited memory space and computing power. This standard specifies a complete interface for such hardware-based biometric modules. This interface is called Embedded BioAPI, and it is defined by the specification of the commands that these modules are to implement. The specification is divided into the following two layers: ——The underlying implementation, which defines a framework and the encoding of all commands and their corresponding response pairs for the underlying implementation. As a single-master/multiple-slave half-duplex protocol, these messages can be implemented at any physical and link layer via any communication interface. The definition of these communication interfaces is not covered by this standard; - A header description of C-language-based functions for use by manufacturers who wish to provide a C-language library as an integrated software development kit for the entire embedded system. Regarding security, this standard defines two types of equipment: - Class A equipment: this type of equipment does not implement any security mechanism due to lack of processing capabilities; - Type B equipment: this type of equipment implements Security mechanisms for security and/or authenticity are recommended. This standard defines a set of minimum requirements for Class B equipment, but the safety mechanisms of the equipment are outside the scope of this standard. The underlying implementation is not part of the scope of this standard specification, but is provided as an informative appendix (see Appendix B). Although security mechanisms are considered in this standard, they are outside the scope of this standard. Please refer to other relevant standards. In particular key management is also outside the scope of this standard and is expected to be dealt with before applying this standard. Specifications and requirements for embedded BioAPI subcomponents or any device suitable for implementing embedded BioAPI are outside the scope of this standard.
