1. Background of Standard Formulation and Analysis of Technology Evolution

GB/T 36137—2018 "Hollow Fiber Ultrafiltration Membrane and Microfiltration Membrane Component Integrity Test Method" is one of the important standards in China for separation membranes. The formulation of this standard is based on the rapid development of membrane separation technology, especially its wide application in water treatment, biopharmaceuticals and other industries.

With the advancement of membrane technology, hollow fiber membranes have become the mainstream technology due to their advantages such as high flux and long life. However, the integrity of membrane components is directly related to the separation effect and system reliability, so the requirements for inspection methods are becoming increasingly stringent. This standard aims to unify and standardize inspection methods to ensure the quality control of membrane components.

c) Classification inspection strategy:Select the corresponding inspection method and pressure value according to the type of membrane module (online, pressure type, immersion type) to ensure the accuracy of the inspection results.

4. Practical application case analysis

A water treatment company uses GB/T 36137-2018 standard to inspect hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane modules. Through the bubble observation method, it was found that some membrane components had continuous bubbles during the internal pressure test and were judged as unqualified products. After repair and re-inspection, the qualified rate reached more than 95%.
