Introduction

Analysis of the standard framework of alloy steel plates for nuclear power plants

GB/T 36163-2018 specifies the full life cycle technical requirements for alloy steel plates for nuclear power plants with a thickness of 6~200mm, including six major grade systems from Q330HD to Q450HD2. This standard was formulated by Ansteel Co., Ltd. and integrates the technical requirements of international standards such as ASME and RCC-M.

Typical Application Case

The containment of an AP1000 unit uses Q345HDZ35 steel plate, which must meet the following requirements: section shrinkage in thickness direction ≥35%, S content controlled below 0.008% after vacuum degassing treatment, and ultrasonic testing accepted according to NB/T 20003.2 Class I.

Background of standard evolution

Compared with the 2005 version, the 2018 version has been revised mainly: adding the Q450HD series of grades, refining the RTNDT determination method, and strengthening the thickness direction performance requirements. Maintain technical coordination with the RCC-M M2111 standard.
