Introduction

GB/T 36352—2018 Education Cloud Service Framework Standard Interpretation

1. Background of Standard Formulation and Analysis of Technology Evolution

With the rapid development of information technology, the demand for cloud computing in the education field is growing. GB/T 36352—2018 "Information Technology Learning, Education and Training Education Cloud Service: Framework" came into being, aiming to standardize the design and implementation of education cloud services and promote the development of education informatization.

2. Education Cloud Service System Framework

Education Cloud Service System Framework is based on the three service models of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS provided by cloud computing service providers to build virtual classrooms and schools. Its core functions include:

  • Supporting education and teaching management in physical classrooms
  • Providing an education resource sharing platform
  • Realizing cloud-based teaching interaction and management

3. Comparative analysis of education cloud service models

Service model Core functions Applicable scenarios
IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) Providing infrastructure services such as virtualized resource pools, big data resource pools, and physical resource pools. Applicable to scenarios that require elastic computing and storage resources, such as school laboratory environments.
PaaS (Platform as a Service) Provides educational application development environment, database services and identity authentication management. Applicable to scenarios where educational applications need to be deployed quickly, such as online course platforms.
SaaS (Software as a Service) Provides services such as educational resource sharing, desktop cloud and online learning space. Applicable to scenarios where unified teaching resource management is required, such as educational institutions.

4. Deployment Modes of Education Cloud

Education Cloud has four typical deployment modes: public cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud and community cloud. Each model has its own characteristics and applicable scenarios:

  • Public cloud: resource sharing, suitable for basic education resource services.
  • Private cloud: exclusive service, suitable for institutions with high data security requirements.
  • Hybrid cloud: combines the advantages of multiple models, suitable for institutions with diverse needs.
  • Community cloud: resources are shared with specific educational organizations, and costs are shared.

5. Education management and teaching interaction supported by education cloud

Under the education cloud environment, education management and teaching interaction have been significantly improved:

Case study: Application of education cloud platform in a certain university

By deploying SaaS model of education resource sharing service and online learning space, the university has achieved:

  • Unified management and allocation of teaching resources
  • Real-time online interaction and collaboration between teachers and students
  • Personalized learning path recommendation

6. Implementation suggestions

In order to maximize the benefits of education cloud services, it is recommended to start from the following aspects:

  1. Demand analysis and planning: Clarify the specific needs of the institution and formulate a long-term development plan.
  2. Choose the right service model: Choose IaaS, PaaS or SaaS based on budget and security requirements.
  3. Deployment and operation: Ensure that the technical team has sufficient operation and maintenance capabilities and regularly update service content.
  4. Security and compliance: Follow standards such as GB/T 31168-2014 to protect user data privacy.
