Introduction and Scope

GB/T 36636-2018 National Standard of the People's Republic of China "Specification for Dual-Interface Integrated Circuit Card Modules for Identification Cards" specifies in detail the design, manufacturing and testing requirements for dual-interface integrated circuit card modules. This standard applies to dual-interface IC card modules that support contact and contactless communications, ensuring their reliability and performance in various application scenarios.

Terms and Definitions

Terms Definition
Contact A conductive element that maintains current continuity between an integrated circuit and an external interface device.
Contactless communication No energizing components are required to exchange signals with the card and supply energy to the card.

Module Characteristics

The characteristics of the dual-interface integrated circuit card module include lead-out terminals, electrical characteristics, environmental adaptability and restricted substance limits:

1. Lead-out terminals

The contacts are used for contact communication and consist of 6 or 8 rectangular contacts. The specific definitions are shown in the table below:

2. Electrical characteristics
