Introduction

Foreword

This standard was proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Marine Machinery, and the main drafting unit was Wuhan Marine Machinery Co., Ltd.

Scope

This standard applies to high-speed shafting of marine engineering vessels with adjustable pitch propellers and full-rotation rudder propellers as the main propulsion devices. Other ships can also use it for reference.

Terms and definitions

High speed shafting

Shaft sections and their accessories located between the prime mover and the gearbox, which do not bear propeller thrust and have a speed of not less than 400 r/min.
