1 Scope

This standard specifies the module model, battery system requirements, test methods, identification, packaging, transportation and storage of the lithium-ion battery for electric motorcycles and mopeds.

This standard is applicable to the lithium-ion battery system for electric motorcycles and electric mopeds.

3 Terms, definitions and symbols

secondary cell
a basic unit device consisted of electrode, diaphragm, electrolyte, enclosure and terminal, which directly transforms chemical energy into electric energy, and is also designed to be rechargeable

battery module
assembly that combines two or more aforesaid secondary cells in series connection, parallel connection or their combination, only has a pair of positive and negative output terminals and is used as power supply

battery system
energy storage device consisting of one or more battery modules and corresponding accessories (management system, high voltage circuit, low voltage circuit, thermal management equipment and mechanical assembly, etc.)

4.2 Designation method of battery module model

4.2.1 Battery module code EM
The code of lithium-ion battery module for electric motorcycles and electric mopeds is represented by two capital English letters E and M.

4.2.2 Type code X1 of battery cathode materials

The type code of a battery cathode material is represented by an English capital letter, as shown in Table 2. For the multi-component mixed material system, the material component with the largest content is used for coding.
