Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

GB/T 36872-2018 is the authoritative technical specification for the production of structural laminated wood in my country, and is applicable to the quality control of the entire process of glulam manufacturing. The standard has established a complete technical system from personnel qualifications, equipment conditions to production processes and inspection methods.

Tree species classification and application

The standard divides applicable tree species into five tree species groups (SZ1-SZ5), among which Acer truncatum, Birch, etc. are classified as high-strength tree species in SZ1 group, and Cunninghamia lanceolata, Crysanthemum fortunei, etc. are classified as SZ5 group. Elastic modulus requirements for different tree species:

  • SZ1 group: flexural modulus ≥18GPa
  • SZ3 group: flexural modulus ≥12GPa
  • SZ5 group: flexural modulus ≥7GPa

Quality control system

Three-level inspection system

  1. Initial inspection: 12 basic tests must be completed when a new production line is started
  2. Full inspection: 100% of the plywood must be visually inspected or mechanically graded
  3. Sampling inspection: Sampling according to Table 27-28 of GB/T 26899-2011

Typical test case: Boiling peel test requires the adhesive layer peeling rate ≤15%, and the average value ≤10%


Implementation suggestions

Key points of environmental control

  • Production temperature ≥15℃, gluing area ≥20℃
  • Relative humidity 30%-75%
  • Humidity during curing stage ≥30%

Process optimization direction

For the high frequency heating process, it is recommended:

  1. Control the heating temperature not to exceed the upper limit of the adhesive
  2. The load can be reduced to 70% of the standard value during the curing process
  3. Avoid external force interference when moving heating
