1. Scope of the Standard and Normative References

This standard provides guidance and suggestions for implementing appropriate transport packaging and operating procedures for safe transportation, covering the overall principles of transport packaging, the determination and implementation of the plan, the loading and fixing of packages, and the key points to be considered in each stage of transport packaging test verification, monitoring and improvement.

2. Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in accordance with GB/T4122 apply to this document. The following is an explanation of some key terms:

  • Packaging container: a device used to contain, protect products and facilitate transportation.
  • Content characteristics: refers to the characteristics of the product such as form (solid, liquid, gas), quality, size, and fragility.
  • Hazard factors: including pressure, vibration, impact, temperature and humidity, salt spray and other environmental factors.

3. Determination of packaging plan

The determination of the packaging plan needs to comprehensively consider the characteristics of the contents, the requirements of the buyer and the hazard factors of the circulation environment. The following is a comparison table of key dimensions:
