This standard applies to anthracene obtained by fractional crystallization and distillation of anthracene oil in coal tar as raw material. It stipulates technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates and safety precautions.

The appearance of refined anthracene is determined by visual inspection, and the determination of anthracene content is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Appendix A. The products are inspected by the quality supervision department, with the daily packaging volume as a batch, and each batch does not exceed 200~t.
