Scope
This standard specifies the abstract data model layer, data definition layer, and service layer interface of the electronic coding information service of articles, and specifies the XML syntax description of the data definition module, core acquisition operation module, and query operation module. This standard is applicable to different applications that create and share visibility event data within and between enterprises through the adoption of the EPCIS standard, thereby enabling users to obtain a common view of physical or digital objects in the relevant business environment.
