Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

This standard innovatively combines the national basic scale topographic map tiling system (GB/T 13989) with remote sensing image products to establish a complete standardized production technology system. The main technical features include:

  • The CGCS2000 coordinate system is used as the benchmark. According to the scale difference, Gauss-Krüger projection (3°/6° zoning) and conformal conic projection are used respectively.
  • A three-part naming rule of frame number_satellite ID_sensor ID is defined (such as J50_L5_TM.tif)
  • The ground resolution of the image must meet the calculation result of the formula G=2.54×10⁻²/(D×S)

Comparison of key technical indicators

  1. MD_Identification: Product identification information (name, confidentiality level, copyright, etc.)
  2. EX_GeographicExtent: Coordinate range (WGS84 decimal)
  3. EX_GeographicExtent: Coordinate range (WGS84 decimal)
  4. EX_GeographicExtent: Coordinate range (WGS84 decimal)
  5. EX_GeographicExtent: Coordinate range (WGS84 decimal)
  6. EX_GeographicExtent class=instrument>MD_Resolution: Equivalent scale and ground sampling interval
  7. MD_ImageDescription: Satellite sensor parameters (including band spectral range)

For typical application cases, see the Yushu 1:1 million topographic map tile product provided in Appendix C of the standard, whose metadata includes detailed parameters of 20 scenes of Landsat5 TM data.

Recommendations for the implementation of the standard

Production process optimization

  • Establish a database for automatically associating frame numbers with original images
  • Develop automated finishing tools that comply with the GB/T 20257 series
  • Use QGIS/ArcGIS plug-ins to automatically fill in metadata

Key points of quality control

Technology evolution analysis

Innovations of this standard compared with traditional remote sensing image product specifications:

  • Frame system fusion: For the first time, the coordinate unification of remote sensing image and topographic map frames
  • Dynamic resolution: Establish a quantitative relationship between print DPI-scale-ground resolution
  • Extensible metadata: Support the entry of sensor parameters of domestic satellites (Gaofen series, resource series)

In the future, it is recommended to add frame processing specifications for new types of data such as oblique photography and SAR images.
