Introduction

1. Background and significance of the standard

GB/T 37798-2019 "Evaluation of anti-slip performance of ceramic tiles" is an important national standard proposed by the China Building Materials Federation, which aims to unify the evaluation method and grading standard of anti-slip performance of ceramic tiles. This standard is based on actual use needs and technology evolution analysis, combining laboratory testing and on-site evaluation, and provides a scientific technical basis for the building sanitary ceramics industry.

2. Anti-slip performance classification standard

Anti-slip grade code Static friction coefficient (dry state) f Pendulum slip resistance value (wet state) β Critical angle α/(°) Anti-slip ability
Ad f≥0.70 β>54 α≥24 High
P5 - β>54 - High
C - - α≥24 High

3. Recommendations for Standard Implementation

Case Study: A construction project uses Ad grade ceramic tiles with a static friction coefficient of 0.85. Both laboratory tests and on-site evaluations meet high anti-slip requirements. The implementation of this standard ensures the safety of public areas and reduces the risk of slipping.

Test method optimization suggestions:

  • Laboratory condition control: maintain temperature (23±2)°C and relative humidity (50±10)%
  • Test specimen preparation: clean and dry to avoid contamination affecting the test results
  • Instrument calibration: regularly check the accuracy of the pendulum slip resistance value meter
