Scope

This part specifies the bibliographic items, arrangement order, bibliographic identifiers, bibliographic texts, specified information sources and detailed rules for bibliographic items of electronic resources, etc., which are used by national bibliographic agencies and other cataloging agencies to compile standard bibliographic records, so as to ensure the bibliographic records of different sources. Bibliographic records for electronic resources are interchangeable. This section applies to computer-controlled (including use on computer peripherals) electronic resources, such as resources accessed through the network or telecommunications, interactive multimedia resources, and resources limited to distribution production, pay-as-you-go resources or scheduled production resources . Calculators, programming toys, etc. are not included in the scope of this standard.
