Introduction
1. Background and significance of standard formulation
GB/T 38006-2019 aims to unify the determination method of dimensional change of textiles after steam ironing, and provide a basis for product quality control and scientific research. This standard is managed by the National Technical Committee for Textile Standardization and is applicable to all kinds of fabrics.

3. Recommendations for standard implementation
Instrument selection and calibration
It is recommended to use flat steam press, which must meet the following conditions:
- Steam pressure adjustment range: 0 MPa~1 MPa
- Temperature control accuracy: ±1℃
Test environment requirements
Carry out humidity control according to GB/T6529 standard to ensure that the sample is tested under standard atmospheric conditions. The humidity is controlled at 65%±2% and the temperature is 21℃±1℃.
