This standard specifies the application requirements of magnesium-lithium alloy plates such as LA103Z and LZ91M in the aerospace field, focusing on controlling the key ratio range of lithium content 5.5-12% to ensure the ultra-light characteristics of the material density <1.6g/cm³.

Key points of quality control
Take LA43M plate as an example, its ultrasonic flaw detection needs to meet the following requirements: single defect equivalent diameter ≤3.2mm, multiple defect spacing ≥25mm. In the production of a satellite structure, the surface unevenness is controlled within 5mm/m through the 400-grit sandpaper grinding process.
Recommendations for the implementation of the standard
- Preferably use H112 state plates for load-bearing structural parts
- For plates with a thickness of >4mm, it is recommended to retain the rolled black skin
- Establish a melt traceability management system
