Implementation recommendations

  1. New material verification: For newly added magnesium-lithium alloys such as LA93M, it is recommended to first conduct a salt spray test to verify its corrosion resistance
  2. Dimension control: Strips with a thickness of ≤2mm should be monitored online using a laser thickness gauge
  3. Packaging improvement: Referring to clause 8.2.1, the amount of moisture-proof agent should be increased by 30% in humid areas

Technology evolution analysis

This standard introduces ZK61M-T5 state plates for the first time, and its 290MPa tensile strength marks a breakthrough in my country's rare earth magnesium alloy preparation technology. Compared with the US ASTM B90-20 standard, the strength indicators of products of the same specification are already the same, but there is still a gap in the field of ultra-thick plates above 70mm.
