Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates and contracts (or purchase orders) for magnesium and magnesium alloy plates and strips. This standard applies to pure magnesium strips (hereinafter referred to as strips), magnesium alloy hot-rolled or cold-rolled plates (hereinafter referred to as plates).
