Serial Number Reference Point Name Definition and Position Obtaining Method
1 Vertex of Head The topmost point of the human head, used to measure height and head circumference. Using the Frankfurt plane as the positioning, the horizontal plane slowly approaches the top of the head.
2 Chest width point The outermost point of the vertical tangent point on the front is used to measure the chest circumference and body width. The vertical plane slowly moves to the upper arm of the human body, and the outermost point that touches the arm root circumference on the front is the chest width point.
3 Back width point The outermost point of the vertical tangent point on the back is used to measure the back width. The vertical plane slowly moves to the upper arm of the human body, and the outermost point that touches the arm root circumference on the back is the back width point.
4 Nipple point The intersection of the mid-sagittal plane of the chest and the bust line is used to measure the chest distance and underwear size. The vertical plane slowly moves to the human chest, and the outermost point in contact with the chest is the nipple point.
5 Side hip point The intersection of the mid-coronal plane and the hip line is used to measure the hip width. The vertical plane slowly moves to the human buttocks, and the measurer stands on the side and observes that the most convex point in contact with the buttocks is the side hip point.

Technical background:With the development of science and technology, non-contact measuring instruments can quickly and accurately obtain human body size data through structured light projection and 3D reconstruction technology. This method is particularly suitable for large-scale clothing customization and online body measurement services.
