Scope
This document describes manual and automated methods for determining the smoke point of kerosene and jet fuels. This document applies to the determination of the smoke point of kerosene and jet fuels. Manual instrument precision data are applicable to atmospheric pressure ranges of 70 kPa–102 kPa, and automated instrument precision data are applicable to atmospheric pressure ranges of 75 kPa–102 kPa; for smoke point determinations at other pressures, the precision data are for reference only.
