1. Background and purpose of the standard
GB/T 38277-2019 "High-strength Crack Arrest Steel Plate for Ships" was developed to meet the needs of the modern shipbuilding industry for high-safety and durable materials. This standard is mainly used to manufacture structural components such as decks and hatch coamings of large container ships to ensure reliability and safety in extreme environments.
