Technology evolution analysis

This standard converts the IEC62512:2012 international standard into a national standard for the first time. The main technological breakthroughs include:

  1. Clarifies the unique parameters of washer-dryers (such as the definition of continuous/intermittent cycles)
  2. Innovatively proposes a load splitting test method (Appendix A)
  3. Improved the moisture content measurement system (Chapter 8.3.3)

Implementation suggestions

Note to manufacturers:
  • When marking the capacity of the product, it is necessary to distinguish between independent washing and drying capacities
  • When developing an automatic drying program, the moisture content should be controlled within (0±3)%
  • Noise testing needs to be measured separately in the washing/spinning/drying stages

Testing agencies should pay special attention to the data rounding rules specified in Appendix B, with electricity consumption accurate to 0.01kWh and water consumption accurate to 0.1L.
