Material properties and typical applications

ME20M profile is particularly suitable for aerospace cooling components due to its thermal conductivity of more than 120W/(m·K) and good corrosion resistance. ZK60A-T5 obtains a high strength of 310MPa through aging treatment, which has unique advantages in the field of military armor.


Key points of quality control

  • Low-power microstructure testing strictly complies with GB/T4297, and cracks, pores, and shrinkage defects are prohibited
  • Thermal conductivity test needs to be sampled at the thickness minimum part of the profile extrusion end
  • The depth of appearance defects shall not exceed the negative deviation value

Technology evolution analysis

Compared with the traditional magnesium alloy profile standard GB/T5156, this standard adds a thermal conductivity classification index, reflecting my country's technological breakthrough in the field of heat dissipation materials. The addition of rare earth elements (such as neodymium in ZE20M) achieves a synergistic improvement in thermal conductivity and strength.


Implementation Suggestions

  1. M1C-H112 is preferred for heat sinks of electronic equipment, which has a thermal conductivity of 130W/(m·K) and a strength of 215MPa
  2. ZE20M is recommended for components that require welding, as its 19% elongation is better than similar materials
  3. When purchasing in bulk, suppliers should be required to provide profiles of the same melt to ensure performance consistency
